Reflection

I found the bridging task to be very handy as it expanded my knowledge on what is expected of me for A-level media, as I have never done Media for GCSE, I wasn't 100% sure on what to expect.
After finishing the bridging task I feel like I have gained good general media knowledge after a struggle and an understanding on what is later to come. I have learnt about how to create a blog as I have never done so before, and familiarised myself with the process and how the website works.
Im looking forward to finding out what the media course can offer me, and im also looking forward to expanding on my own pieces of media.

Media Gaurdian

This article interested me the most because I have recently watched the movie, and see advertisement frequently. I am also keen on the actors Naomi Watts who plays Maria and Ewan McGregor who plays Henry.
The article has a great insight on the film and for those who arn't sure on whether or not to see the movie, it gives a great summary acting as a great advertisement.
It gives readers information on what genre the film is, a short biography on the characters and a personal view as well as other viewers to give an unbiased intake.
But with all it pros on the the plot of the film, the article also gives cons so that an upcoming viewer of the film can decide whether the story is the right one for them before hand, also giving a detailed explanation on the film.

A Mothers Son

A Mothers Son is a psychological thriller drama, about how a mother  (Rosie) has a dialemma, as she is suspicions on whether or not her son (Jamie) was involved in the murder of a local girl found in a reed bed near the Suffolk coastal village, there has been only a two episode on this drama. Her own son starts to instantly act oddly, doing late-night washing, quick tempered and claiming his trainers were stolen when the his mother finds them hidden in a bag, under his bed, with drops of blood on them. The fact that the Mother has two sons makes the audience wonder if the less obvious child is actually the killer of the girl, a series of other events in the program also make the audience wonder if the sons friend is actually the killer, but he was trying to defend the secret. The son resulted in telling a series of lies to his mother, father (David) and step-father (Ben), so his mother started to defend her son instead, But his lies successfully convinced all except his step-father who pushed the mother to look into the accusation after her instinct to protect her son and refusing to believe that her son is capable of such wrongness, eventually, the son confessed to his mother and turned himself in.
I found that drama had great performances from all actors with lots of tense, absorbing and thrilling moments.

Media Representation

A Summary of 'Representaion in the Media'
How mise en sene/put in scene is presented through different aspects in media, and how the targeted audience reacts and views it.

My Interpretation: The way in which varieties of media is presented to create an emotion from its targeted audience, for example: an attractive female celebrity on the front of a magazine cover can be seen as to other women idolised or admirable, were as to men she would be seen as an attractive women. Or also using a specific colour to attract the targeted audience.

The Three Resources I Found most Beneficial and why...

The three resources that I found most helpful from 'Beaverwood Media Blog' whilst creating my blog for the bridging tasks:

1. 'Brief Introduction to TV Drama'. This I found was very helpful as it gave me an idea on what  sort of drama I could write about in my blog for the bridging task.

2. 'Exemplar Post 6: Reflections on what you have learnt'. I found this article helpful as it informed me what was expected of me in my project, it explained in detail how i should structure my blog in the best of forms.

3. 'How To Create A Blog on Blogger'. I found this link most helpful because it is presented in great detail and understandable information about how to create my blog to the best of standards.
